Released on June 22 for the Playstation Store was the new mode “Onslaught” for the Battlefield Bad Company 2 game. In this mode you, and up to 3 other people can take arms, and fight against a totally computer controlled defending team. You can make a public game, or a totally private game. There are 4 different boards, and 4 different difficulties. I have played each, and HARD is a very challenging difficulty. You play on 4 different boards consisting of Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes, and Nelson Bay.
On Isla Inocentes the enemy brings tanks, and a copter to the party. On Valparaiso the enemy brings a new vehicle to the fun with a Patrol Boat.
I got this add-on, and find that this is a new experience, as the computer controlled enemy is smarter, and they are actually a challenge. You can play on your own, but I don’t suggest this. The computer enemy is extremelly smart, and they react to almost anything. You don’t get any credit towards rank, or original trophies by playing this mode. There are new trophies that are awarded for playing Onslaught.
I give this add-on a 9 out of 10.
The add-on costs $9.99 + tax.
